- CAS-IntelliNet network provides a fast, direct link between your alarm, and our central station. Your alarm signals reach the central station in two seconds, or less, on average. Compare that with 30 to 60 seconds for most telephone and cellular technologies! The secure status of the wireless connection is checked continually over the active network.
- It's a full two-way, digital, secure communication network. Every alarm message is confirmed, and acknowledged. Two-way networks are far more reliable than one-way systems, which cannot confirm that the message was received.
- CAS-IntelliNet uses exclusive "smart" routing technology to ensure that your alarm message gets through. Your critical alarm messages have many paths to reach the central station. In contrast, a telephone line provides only a single path. If that single path fails for any reason, the link fails. CAS-IntelliNet smart routing technology ensures delivery of your alarm message by the fastest path available.
Mesh Network Technology:
CAS-IntellliNet wireless mesh network utilizes the following principles:
- A remote transceiver is used to monitor or control a device
- Each transceiver relays data in distances measured in miles, to the central receiver via radio transmission.
- If the transceiver is too far to reach the central receiver directly, it simply hops the data to the next closest transceiver and that transceiver relays it to the central receiver or to the next closest transceiver to the central receiver.
- The Central Receiver relays the data to alarm automation software for processing.
- If data can not be relayed via one route, the mesh network automatically selects the next best route from a choice of up to 8 available routes at any given time.
- The network dynamically and automatically adapts to changes in the network caused by weather changes, obstruction changes, the addition or subtraction of other transceivers in the network, etc. so that it is highly redundant and reliable.
Your alarm system is only as reliable as its ability to transmit alarm signals to the monitoring center.
