Door to Door Sales Scams for Alarms & Home Automation

Did you know in Louisiana that each individual is legally required to be licensed to SELL or INSTALL a security system? Many less reputable companies will hire summer workers to knock on doors to offer to sell or upgrade your system.    Louisiana has put safeguards in place that each individual, not a company, be licensed to ensure they have the proper background checks and training to ensure your system is properly installed to protect you and your home.

What to Watch For 

• Certified Alarms will NEVER come to your home without an appointment.
• Anyone who comes to your home for sales, service or support should have a license. If someone coming to your home does not have this do not let them in your home.  If they are refusing to show it or do not have one, you are encouraged to call the police.
